This post comes nearly after 8 weeks of being away and I thought of starting with something which I recently saw going around on a social networking site, cheesy bread sticks. But I’ve not exactly made bread stick instead have tried stuffed buns.
I’ve used low fat cream cheese being a lover of cream cheese, spinach and some basic herbs, topped with some butter, garlic and chives and baked it until perfection. This came out as a success for me because my family loved it. The taste came out awesome, it was nice and crispy from outside and the cheesy stuffing just melted in the mouth! This is just perfect if you are a lover of cream cheese and if you are not, you must give it a try! 🙂
|Ingredients|
▪ 4 Whole wheat buns (a little long ones would work great)
▪ 7 Oz – 10oz Low fat cream cheese
▪ 1 cup finely chopped spinach
▪ Pinch of salt
▪ 1 teaspoon butter
▪ 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
For topping
▪ 2 – 3 teaspoon butter (melted)
▪ 1 teaspoon finely chopped chives
▪ 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
|Method|
▪ Preheat oven to 350F
▪ Half cut the buns and carefully scoop hollow the buns (you could save it and use as breadcrumbs for later use)
▪ Allow the cream cheese to come at rooms temperture and finely mix other ingredients well.
▪ Stuff the bread with prepared mixture tightly.
▪ On a baking tray line the bread.
▪ In a bowl mix together butter, chives and garlic.
▪ Brush the butter on top of the bread generously and bake for 15 – 20 minutes. (If you don’t like hard crust, you can cover with aluminum foil and then bake)
▪ Let it stand for few minutes.
▪ Serve warm!
Enjoy! ♡
